O’CIN is the new non-alcoholic gin from Obsthof Retter and the insider tip of the bar scene. It was deliberately developed as a concentrated essence that combines sweet and spicy as well as sour and bitter notes in an aromatic firework.
We decided to magically tell the story of the creation of this natural elixir to emphasize the idea that this drink was created by nature itself. The film shows how the four main ingredients of gin flow through a magical forest, seemingly moved by a mysterious force and absorbing all the good qualities of the forest. Eventually they converge in a stream that leads into a mysterious cave where the gin falls directly into the bottle. The cave serves as a symbol of a magical creation place of nature and the four converging streams for the four different flavours and ingredients that make up the drink.
The production consists exclusively of real recordings, with the use of 3D effects deliberately avoided. Over the course of this project, we set up several scenes in the studio and others directly in nature. Thanks to this approach, the “making of” of the commercial, primarily via social media, is used as a powerful storytelling tool.
