Commercial, product photography & advertising campaign
The Great Eight is the new gin from Peter Affenzeller, which was developed together with my World Austria. The aim of the advertising campaign was to make a strong statement that positioned the product as high-quality, elegant and exclusive, but at the same time to build a brand world around the product.
The dramatic staging of the brand’s creation is told using symbolic representations and metaphors that reflect the label’s design and text. The brand’s logo is carved in stone and cast from metals as a reference to the iconic character of the brand and the defined taste of the gin. Among other things, a new slogan was developed: “Rock solid taste”.
The production consists exclusively of real recordings, with the use of 3D effects deliberately avoided. Thanks to this approach, the “making of” of the commercial, mainly via social media, is used as a powerful storytelling tool.
